About Bob Gatchel

Bob is a lifelong Constitutional Conservative, and 19+ year resident of Cecil County.  Bob was recently appointed to the Cecil County Republican Central Committee and is looking to pursue a higher level of involvement as a Conservative in Cecil County Government and is asking for your support in his campaign to run for Cecil County Council.












After graduating Penn State with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, he worked in the Defense industry on technology that supported our armed forces in the Middle East.


2001 he founded a successful online marketing consulting firm working with a diverse range of small businesses and multinational organizations.


Bob also served as President of the Maryland Division of USA Fencing and worked with several committees –domestic and international - on promoting and growing the sport of competitive Fencing.  In addition Bob served as a US Olympic Committee "Safe Sport" certified fencing Referee.












Bob has co-authored a best selling book “Multiple Streams of Internet Income” and authored another book on online reputation management for businesses.


Bob also has professional experience in radio, TV, film and on the stage, and can often be seen donating his time, performing in many musical productions at Cecil County's own Milburn Stone Theatre on the Cecil College Campus.  In addition, he and his family were awarded the theatre's "Golden Wrench" award, recognizing them for their dedication & volunteer work for the theatre and community.











In June of 2021 Bob was honored to serve as the "Master of Ceremonies" for the Rising Sun "Sunfest".










As a politically active Conservative, Bob has worked to educate and engage the public in civic involvement at all level, and looks forward to continuing to promote these ideals as a member of the Cecil County Government.


Bob resides in the Rising Sun / Port Deposit area, with his wife Joyce, and has two wonderful children and two grandchildren – all who live right here in Cecil County.
